Foraged Wild Rosehips

Rosa canina

Description

One of our top sellers! Foraged from a wild fence row between two pastures at the farm, these rosehips are like little jewels shining in the bare branches after the leaves have fallen. There is a very narrow harvest window in October.

Wonderful and wild looking, stems are about 8” long with anywhere between 7-20 individual bright red to dark red hips per stem. We also have some shorter 5-6″ length, great for wreathmaking.

  • Please see the photos with the ruler for scale – these are petite, NOT large cultivated rose hips.
  • Please note – they also still have some small thorns on the stems! You can remove the thorns quite easily.
  • We also have some large, arching, multibranched stems up to 30″ long (not pictured here) with multiple individual stems each bearing multiple hips. so if you are looking for something more architectural, striking and unusual, this may be it. Please contact us for details and photos. Quantities are limited.
